Langara Gardens, a 21-acre property in Vancouver jointly owned by Peterson and Concert Properties, is undergoing a City-led planning process that will guide future development on the site. The outcome of the process will be a policy statement which will establish the principles and objectives to guide future rezoning and development proposals.
This community planning process was launched by the City with a series of public open houses in April 2015. Throughout the entire consultation process, the City, Peterson and Concert are all committed to soliciting feedback from existing residents of Langara Gardens and the general public. James Cheng Architects and other engineers and planners have been engaged to incorporate the feedback gathered from the initial open houses into conceptual site plan alternatives that will be presented for further public input in late August or early September 2015. The City expects to conclude the policy statement process in spring 2016 after having thoroughly consulted the community to establish a plan and guiding principles that achieve proper public benefits.
