We are excited to announce the addition of a new role at Peterson - Director, Investor Relations. This is a key member of our leadership team who will be responsible for managing communication and relationships between Peterson and our growing investor base. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position serves as the key point of contact for investors and will play a critical role in the capital raising process. Working closely with the Executive team, the Director of Investor Relations will ensure that investors receive accurate and timely information about the Company's financial performance and other key developments.

The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for keeping up-to-date on trends and business activities within real estate. They proactively identify potential investors or partners and thrive on the opportunity to have a direct impact on future growth. They will act as a reliable source of information and continuously seek better ways of creating value for investors – curating Company storylines and corporate presentations, and effectively articulating financial performance to investors. The role is best suited for an exceptional communicator who excels in building relationships. They will be skilled at listening and engaging with investors, taking the time to get to know their interests, family members’ names, and even their favourite food.

Responsibilities

  • Raising capital from high net worth individuals, and family offices for multiple company business lines including mortgage lending, developments, income producing assets, and marketable securities;
  • Proactively developing new relationships and maintaining existing relationships with investors and partners, and anticipating information and communication needs and seamlessly delivering them;
  • Overseeing and managing all aspects of the preparation and dissemination of IR materials including content creation and narrative development of investor communications and updates, coordination of capital calls and distributions, investor reporting and pitch decks/offering memorandums;
  • Understanding the timing and impact of business events and financial matters to communicate to stakeholders;
  • Developing and overseeing investor database and the tracking of historical performance and returns.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years’ of experience in investment sales and business development role within real estate and/or private equity;
  • Completion of Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field;
  • Demonstrated track record of building strong, positive, and professional business relationships with investors and other stakeholders;
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders and effectively communicate complex financial transactions and strategies;
  • Strong analytical skills with thorough understanding of financial reports/modelling methods;
  • Highly organized with a demonstrated experience working in time sensitive environments with the ability to manage multiple scopes concurrently;
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and accountability;
