Play a leading role as the Tenant Relocation Specialist, where you will be the main point of contact for the city and the tenants regarding all relocation-related matters.

Peterson has an exciting opportunity for an Property Manager Assistant [Tenant Relocation Specialist] to join our team. Reporting to the Director, Asset Management Residential, this role will be responsible for delivering consistent quality services to tenants and stakeholders across our residential portfolio, by supporting the property managers and property accountants in optimizing the performance of our properties by managing tenant relations, operational costs, property financials, and capital projects. You will also play a leading role as the Tenant Relocation Specialist, where you will be the main point of contact for the city and the tenants regarding all relocation-related matters. You will also be communicating and assisting with tenant information sessions and rehousing needs.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and creative problem-solver who enjoys the challenges of handling unpredictable events.  You are resilient and highly effective when dealing with a diverse range of people.  You have two (2) or more years working in administration experience, are organized and provide effective and efficient administration support, including answering phones, accurate and timely record keeping, processing invoices, and coordinating support services

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Coordinating with property managers, accountants, and other support staff to provide operation support in the day-to-day implementation of policies and procedures;
  • Entering and maintaining information in the accounting and property management platforms;
  • Communicating updates to emergency service, monitoring and other providers; and
  • Updating tenant and property records, filing, and distributing correspondence, cheques and packages including mailing, emailing, couriering, and registered mail.
  • Ensuring city requirements regarding tenant relocation policies are met and completed;
  • Working with the Property Manager regarding tenant inquiries and the relocation process;
  • Researching and presenting rental and moving company options to existing tenants;
  • Liaising with the financing team regarding tenant compensation; and
  • Respectfully and capably representing the best interests of Peterson in all internal and external dealings.

SALARY RANGE: 53,000 – 66,000
