Peterson is looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Associate, Investor Services & Investment Operations, to join our team. This role requires strong skills in data management and reporting, knowledge in investment operations and understanding of compliance and governance regulations and standards.
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute and support various asset classes (e.g. public securities, mortgages, and private equity), maintain investor portfolio data, and oversee trade executions, settlements and daily reconciliations. This position will also be responsible for preparing and distributing investor reports and financial statements both accurately and with a high level of confidentiality and detail. Additionally, this role will involve keeping our database and CRM up to date; acting as the main contact for service providers.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate finance or fund accounting at a financial or private asset management firm and possess a strong knowledge of the investment landscape and market instruments. We are looking for someone who exhibits strong written and verbal communication and analysis skills with the aptitude to problem solve
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update investor and portfolio data in internal systems with precision and accuracy;
- Prepare and distribute investor reports, and financial statements both accurately and with a high level of confidentiality;
- Organize and maintain physical and digital investor files, documents and archives;
- Oversee the upkeep of investor platforms, acting as the main contact for service providers;
- Oversee trade execution, settlements, and daily reconciliation across multiple asset classes;
- Support with NAV review and fund expenses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
- Adhere to regulatory and reporting standards, including FATCA, AML, and KYC; and
- Support the CCO with requests from auditors, fund administrators, and partners during reviews and inspections.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce/business, Finance/ Real Estate, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related role in investment services or fund operations;
- Experience with Bloomberg, Alpha Desk or other OMS;
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, Word, Mail Merge and Mail Chimp; and
- Experience with Yardi Investment Manager and data/system migration is an asset
Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum
