Director, Asset Management Residential

Peterson is looking for an experienced Director, Asset Management (Residential). Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, this is a key member of the management team who will oversee a team of approximately 35 employees and be responsible for Peterson’s diverse residential portfolio. The mandate will be to mentor and develop the rental team, deliver consistent performance of our properties by preparing asset plans, and managing operational costs, property financials, and capital projects.

As an opportunistic and contrarian investor, Peterson’s strategy has been to seek out value or arbitrage opportunities where they can bring their management excellence and real estate acumen to create value. As such, the Director, Asset Management (Residential) will also have an opportunity to provide their strategic input to the residential projects through creative management strategies that will help define and support our brand in the marketplace.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and creative-problem solver who thrives on handling unpredictable challenges. They are resilient and highly effective when working with a diverse range of people. In addition, possess an “owner’s mentality” alongside a proven track record of success in managing property operations, working alongside a multi-disciplinary team, and balancing key stakeholder relationships, simultaneously. This position will best suit an individual with strong financial acumen and the aptitude and desire to take on progressive responsibility, in an environment that is constantly evolving and transacting. The Director, Asset Management (Residential) will be joining a reputable, stable organization with exciting growth.

Salary Range: $150,000 – $180,000
